What the Coaxial Cartridge Does

In a coaxial Venturi cartridge, motive compressed air passes through internal nozzle stages and entrains air from the connected vacuum circuit. The 2-stage design is contained within one removable cartridge; it does not indicate the number of cartridges fitted in a generator.

A complete generator may combine several cartridges in a common housing to provide higher total vacuum flow. The finished generator determines port sizes, exhaust arrangement, cartridge quantity and overall vacuum performance.

Where It Is Used

Typical applications include replacement of a matching internal Venturi element in vacuum generators, OEM vacuum modules built into packaging machinery, automated handling equipment and centrally supplied vacuum manifolds.

The rated 6.4 CFM (180 NL/min) describes this cartridge family under its published test conditions. When specifying a complete system, also check the assembled generator’s maximum vacuum, compressed-air consumption, operating pressure and flow-versus-vacuum curve.

Compatibility and Maintenance

Do not select a replacement cartridge from flow rating alone. Confirm its exact series, length, body profile, sealing surfaces and any cartridge retention features against the original generator. Similar-looking coaxial cartridges are not necessarily interchangeable.

Before replacement, isolate and depressurize the compressed-air supply and release stored vacuum. Check the silencer, seals and contamination in the cartridge cavity during maintenance.
