What Is a BSPP Push-To-Connect Fitting?

A BSPP push-to-connect fitting combines a British Standard Pipe Parallel threaded connection with a one-touch pneumatic tube connection. The threaded end installs into a BSPP threaded port while the opposite end accepts pneumatic tubing, creating a quick and dependable compressed air connection.

Unlike compression fittings, push-to-connect fittings allow tubing to be installed without tools. The tubing is held securely by an internal gripping mechanism and sealed with an internal elastomer seal. The tube can be removed by simply pressing the release collar.

What Is BSPP?

BSPP stands for British Standard Pipe Parallel, also known as a G thread under ISO 228. Unlike tapered threads such as NPT or BSPT, BSPP threads are parallel and typically rely on an O-ring, bonded washer or face seal to create a pressure-tight connection.
