Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Extended Male Elbow Push To Connect Fitting?
A Extended Male Elbow Push To Connect Fitting is a pneumatic component designed for changing tubing direction in confined installations. It allows compatible tubing to be installed quickly by pushing the tube into the fitting or control body.
What tubing can be used with these products?
Use pneumatic tubing with the correct outside diameter and suitable material, such as compatible polyurethane or nylon tubing. The tube end should be cut square and free from damage.
How is the tubing installed?
Cut the tubing square, push it fully into the release collar until it reaches the internal stop, and gently pull back to confirm that it is retained.
How is the tubing removed?
Remove system pressure first. Press the release collar evenly toward the fitting body while pulling the tubing straight out.
Can these products be used for vacuum?
Many Pneuforce push-to-connect products are suitable for compressed air and vacuum service. Confirm the pressure and vacuum rating of the exact part before use.
How do I choose the correct size?
Match the tube outside diameter and, where applicable, the thread type and port size. Also confirm pressure, temperature, media and available installation space.
Should thread sealant be used?
Use an appropriate pneumatic thread sealant only on tapered male threads when required. Keep sealant away from the first thread and never allow debris to enter the air circuit.
Can Pneuforce help with product selection?
Yes. Pneuforce can assist with tube size, thread type, configuration, pressure range and application compatibility.
