How the Straight Union Works

A straight union is useful for extending a tubing run or replacing a damaged tube section. Both tube ends must match the specified outside diameter to maintain the push-in seal. The FOH H1162X12M-SS is specified with 12mm Tube.

Selection Guidance for Washdown and Pharmaceutical Equipment

These fittings are described for pneumatic or vacuum circuits on processing machinery, not as certified sanitary product-contact fittings. A direct food- or pharmaceutical-contact application requires separate confirmation of hygienic design, material compliance and the relevant approvals. For chemical washdown, assess the 316 metal body and FKM seal individually; in particular, do not assume hot caustic cleaners or chlorinated disinfectants are compatible.
