VC50 Vacuum Cylinder - 50mm Stroke

The VC50 vacuum cylinder is designed for simple, low-cost Z axis movement in vacuum pick and place automation. Instead of using a separate pneumatic cylinder and suction cup assembly, this unit uses vacuum to extend, seal and lift the part in one compact action.

When vacuum is applied, the piston moves downward until the suction cup contacts and seals on the object being handled. Once the cup seals, pressure equalizes inside the cylinder and the internal spring automatically retracts the piston, lifting the part from wherever the cup sealed within the available stroke.

This VC50 model provides a maximum stroke length of 50mm and features a non-rotating piston design. This model is ideal where piston orientation should remain fixed during the vacuum pick cycle. To release the part, simply turn the vacuum off.
